Cleaning grill before use it is quite important, as it helps prevent food from attaching. Moreover, if you have a long time without using your grill, maybe there will have a mess of built-up grease, grime and maybe even a little rust in it. Luckily, the time spent maintaining a grill is minimal, and the payback for the effort is enormous. Here's everything you need to know about keeping your grill clean during the outdoor cooking season.
Turning back to the grill itself, use your grill scrub brush to scour away at every surface in there, including the burners (unless they were caked with stuff, in which case you need to remove and clean them or you’ll clog their holes), then rinse with water and wipe with paper towels as needed.
Use Scrub Brush
Use a non-metal scrub brush to clean every inch of the grill, including the burners. Rinse and wipe with paper towels.Turning back to the grill itself, use your grill scrub brush to scour away at every surface in there, including the burners (unless they were caked with stuff, in which case you need to remove and clean them or you’ll clog their holes), then rinse with water and wipe with paper towels as needed.
Clean Grease Tray

Wash and Rinse Grill Parts
If you have one and can use it where you won’t damage grass, decking, or make a stain on a patio, blast all the components you removed with a pressure washer; if not, rinse ’em all off with a hose. Then let it all dry. Use water and soaking wet paper towels to get as much filth out of the interior of the grill, then leave it open and let it dry, too.Deep Clean
A filthy grill with stubborn, stuck-on food calls for a deep grill cleaning. In a garbage bag, mix two cups of vinegar and one cup of baking soda. Remove the grill grates and place them in the garbage bag. Let the grates soak overnight. After removing the grates, spray them down with water and pat dry. If any stuck-on food remains, use a rag or a grill brush to remove it.Steam-Clean
Steam-cleaning your grill is always an option. All you need is water and a sponge for this method. Heat your grill to 600°F, then turn off the heat. Place a tin, like a large vegetable can or a small coffee can, of water onto the grates. Close the lid and let it steam for 30 minutes. Scrub with a silicone sponge to loosen the build-up.
